Every client is unique, as is every matter.  And, as they say in the securities field, past results are not a guarantee of future performance.  Nonetheless, experience counts, so we provide you descriptions of some of our interesting cases (or at least they were interesting to us):

-Repossessed L1011s and attached in excess of $42 million; resulted in settlement when funds otherwise would have left the US and which withstood the fall of foreign government;

-Obtained temporary restraining order in less than one (1) business day to stop interstate transport of $2 million of stolen gold;

-Obtained operating receivership to permit completion of work-in-progress for garments to save holiday season sales;

-Developed collection programs, resulting in significant increase in collections and, in some instances, decrease in defaults;

-Obtained possession of more than 200 tracks of deceased rap star; resulted in turnover of masters and release of posthumous albums;

-Acted as lead insolvency counsel in litigation on behalf of liquidator of insolvent insurance companies seeking to recover in excess of $254 million for preferences, fraudulent conveyances, breach of fiduciary, unfair business practices, etc.; favorable nine-figure settlement obtained;

-Acted as lead trial attorney in 19.5-day trial in real estate partnership dissolution matter and related fraud/breach of fiduciary duty claims; resulted in favorable judgment on all issues and, after three bankruptcies, payment in full;

-Acted as lead trial attorney in 33-day arbitration on various accountings issues arising from buyout of joint venture interest; each side won some issues;

-Has substantial appellate experience, including development of cutting-edge precedents on trademark rights, claims against attorneys and accountants for participation in fraudulent transfers of their clients, and interstate comity for insurance insolvency proceedings; and

-Has experience drafting legislation, including portions of the Insurer Receivership Model Act.
